Mandatory for motorists since 2008, it is now essential for drivers of mopeds, motorcycles and scooters. “This is a classic vest as motorists have in their vehicle for a few years now,” says Stephen Brooches, manager of a store in Limoges in Haute-Vienne.

From 11 to 135 Euros of fine

There was no increase in sales of this vest to wear in case of accident. Offenders are subject to sanctions: 11 Euros fine in case of absence of reflective vest, and 135 Euros if they do not wear it after an emergency stop. A new obligation is that does not please bikers. On the professional side, some have already equipped their scooters.
